Job description:

• Operating/using apparatus such as overhead cranes to transport and align separate assemblies and components
• Examining and checking components, subassemblies and end products
• Mounting of major parts like gears, pumps, motors or hydraulic assemblies
• Fit and assemble prefabricated metal parts to build heavy industrial machinery
• Install major components such as gears, pumps, motors or hydraulic assemblies
• Create and read blueprints, designs and diagrams for construction/assembly
• Position and fit already built metal parts, tools or sub-assemblies and components to create industrial machinery and apparatus, including welding or brazing parts
• Set up machinery and ensure all material are readily available
