Job Description

Stena Plumbing and Heating Ltd. based at 7382 Minster Drive S Delta BC V4C 4M3 is currently hiring construction helpers.

Job duties

• Assist plumbers by holding materials and extending help while installing, repairing and maintaining plumbing systems

• Deliver or hold materials or tools to help tradesman and, provide assistance in other activities

• Load, unload and transport construction materials

• Manually dig and mark ditches for plumbing installation

• Assist in aligning pipes and perform related activities

• Lay and join pipes for plumbing service

• Clean and prepare surfaces.

• Assist Plumbers in completing the rough and finish stages of the plumbing portions

• Dissemble and remove spoiled pipes

• Remove debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment

• Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed by tradesman

Employment requirements

• No formal education requirements. Completion of secondary school will be an asset.

• Some work experience as a construction labourer would be an asset, On the job training will be provided.

• Ability to walk stands, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks.

• Working setting: The candidate should be available to work full-time.

• Requires lifting, pulling and carrying of equipment and other objects

• Candidate should be willing to work outdoors, indoors and all-weather conditions.

• Basic knowledge of English is required to communicate at workplace.

Benefits
