A&J Majha Walls & Ceiling Ltd. is looking for One Carpenter for their growing business, who could join immediately.

Below are details:

Work location: Various locations in Vancouver Island

Office: 345 Cordan street Nanaimo, British Columbia V9R 0E3
Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible
Compensation: $39.00 per hour
Work hours: 32 hours/week
Terms: Permanent full-time

Language of work: English

Job duties and responsibilities

• Measure and cut materials such as wood, drywall, and composite materials using saws, drills, and other equipment into the required sizes and shapes for construction.
• Read and accurately understand a construction project's architectural blueprints and plans.
• Restore and renovate older homes and make structural improvements to the buildings.
• Construct the core framework of buildings, including erecting walls, floors and roof structures by assembling and securing wood or metal studs and beams.
• Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware.
• Strictly follow all WorkSafe BC protocols and use personal protective equipment.
• Ensure all the equipment is in good working condition by maintaining and cleaning the tools.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to ensure efficient and timely project completion

Requirements:

• Education: Completion of Secondary School
• Work Experience:1-2 years of Experience
