Job Duties

• Test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems and components
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical motors, controls, wiring, and related equipment
• Diagnose faults and perform corrective maintenance
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
• Replace or repair defective parts and components
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and regulations
• Maintain service and maintenance records

Employment Requirements

• Completion of secondary school
• Experience as an electrical mechanic or industrial electrician is an asset
• Trade certification is considered an asset
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting

Work Conditions

• Physically demanding
• Combination of standing, bending, and kneeling
• Attention to detail
• Overtime may occasionally be required
