Job Duties

  • Coordinate daily nursery production activities to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of operational tasks.
  • Monitor irrigation schedules, fertilizer application, plant spacing, and environmental conditions to support healthy plant growth.
  • Track inventory levels of nursery stock, growing media, containers, fertilizers, and operational supplies.
  • Prepare production plans and organize movement of plants between greenhouse, growing, storage, and shipping areas.
  • Inspect nursery crops for quality, growth consistency, and readiness for sale, transplanting, or shipment.
  • Coordinate shipping preparation, order staging, labeling, and loading of nursery products.
  • Maintain production logs, inventory records, equipment maintenance records, and operational reports.
  • Assist with planning seasonal crop cycles, propagation schedules, greenhouse preparation, and nursery layout organization.
  • Monitor equipment usage and arrange routine maintenance for irrigation systems, tractors, carts, and nursery tools.
  • Identify production delays or operational issues and recommend solutions to improve workflow and efficiency.
  • Ensure nursery grounds, greenhouses, storage areas, and workspaces remain organized, functional, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Coordinate material deliveries and organize storage of nursery supplies and operational equipment.
  • Support management with operational planning, production scheduling, and resource allocation for nursery activities.
