Title of Position: Nursery Worker
Number of positions: 15
Terms of employment: Full-time - Permanent; Year- round work 
Wages: $18.00 per hour 
Anticipated start date: As soon as possible

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare soil for potting and repotting. Spread topsoil, fertilizer, peat moss, and other materials to condition soil.
• Plant bulbs, seeds and cuttings; graft and bud plants; and transplant seedlings and rooted cuttings.
• Plant care including weeding, watering, fertilizing, potting, and pruning etc.
• Spray plants to prevent weeds, plant disease and pests etc.
• Put plants on carts and wagons, then in organized blocks on benches or hangers in greenhouses.
• Prepare plants for shipping, including pulling orders, grading, boxing, stacking, crating, and wrapping. 
• Operate and maintain nursery machinery and equipment.
• Keep the work areas clean and in good condition.

Job Requirements

• No education and language requirements.
• No experience required; we will train.
• Ability to work in fast paced environment which may be physically demanding.
• Ability to work in various work environments e.g., wet, damp, dust and cold.
