CNC Machinist

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES ARE LISTED BELOW:

• Set up and operate CNC machines to cut, carve, or engrave signs, ensuring accurate production based on specifications.
• Interpret blueprints or digital files to adjust machine settings, ensuring precise cutting, engraving, and finishing of materials.
• Select and prepare materials such as wood, metal, Polycarbonate or acrylic for machining, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening.
• Monitor machine performance during operation, adjusting settings as needed to maintain optimal production speed and quality.
• Set up, operate, and maintain a variety of machine tools, including CNC tools, to perform precision, non-repetitive machining operations such as sawing, turning, milling, boring, drilling, grinding, and more.
• Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality, using precision tools like calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges to verify dimensions and identify defects or issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine malfunctions or material issues, ensuring minimal downtime and continued production efficiency.
• Perform routine machine maintenance, including calibration, cleaning, and replacing parts to maintain optimal CNC machine performance.
• Collaborate with designers and project managers to discuss designs, provide feedback, and ensure projects are completed as specified.
• Customize signs to meet client requirements, including unique logos, dimensions, and finishes for specific industries like fuel stations and commercial stores.
• Track and manage inventory of materials, tools, and consumables, ensuring everything needed for production is readily available.
• Report completed tasks, delays, or production issues to supervisors, ensuring clear communication for project timelines.
