Responsibilities

Tasks

• Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
• Keep maintenance reports and documentation
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
• Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
• Perform other routine maintenance.

Skills

• Proficiency in operating heavy equipment and understanding its mechanics.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for customer service interactions.
• Familiarity with welding techniques and their application in machinery repair.
• Competence in using various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
