Job description
- Prepare, cut/peel vegetables and other ingredients before the food service starts
- Cook dishes as per the request of customers.
- Lead the kitchen helpers according to your own needs to avoid long wait times
- Must be able to work without supervision
- Observe and maintain the presentation standards of food up to company standards
- Be proactive in maintaining the equipment and request required repairs to the responsible person
- Keep track of the food stocks and other supplies, and maintain inventory accordingly to avoid any disruptions in service
- Ensure that food safety procedures are followed as instructed in the company’s Standard Operating Procedures
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen area
- Clean the Kitchen area and all equipment after the service is over
Job Requirements:
- Completion of High School would be an asset
- Experience of more than 1 year in commercial cooking or a college qualification in commercial cookery would be preferred
- Able to work for long hours, on weekends and holidays.
- Good at multitasking
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
